Biography:
Originally drafted by Boston in the 2nd round of the 1986 amateur draft, Red Sox re-acquired him prior to the 2004 season in a deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Is a lifetime 163-117 pitcher with a 3.33 ERA in his sixteen year career during time with the Orioles, Astros, Phillies, and Diamondbacks. Five-time All-Star has finished in the top of ten of the Cy Young balloting three times and swiped the 1993 NLCS MVP and the 2001 World Series MVP (along with teammate Randy Johnson). In the playoffs, he has a career 4-2 record with a 1.66 ERA in 86.7 innings.
