PORTLAND, ME—Diehard spoke Monday afternoon with one of the hottest hitters in the Red Sox organization, Brandon Moss. A sizzling 2004 season catapulted him into the limelight—Diehard named him the Sox’ no. 2 prospect in our first-ever prospect issue—but Moss got off to a slow start with the Sea Dogs this spring. However, he’s hit .390 with seven homers and 19 RBI since May 29 and now ranks second on the Sea Dogs in homers (10) and slugging percentage (.519).
