Michael Goss was selected in the 11th round of the 2002 Draft by the Red Sox out of Jackson State. Goss was a two sport athlete at Jackson State, playing wide receiver and returning kicks for the football team. His prospects as an NFL star caused him to fall from the 5th round to the 11th. Goss’ biggest asset is his blazing speed which is the reason he was so successful in football and baseball during his college career.
