San Antonio Missions 11 – Springfield Cardinals 2
Key Statistics RHP Donn Roach (W, 2-0) 5 IP, 1 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 K; CF Rico Noel 4-5, 2B, 2 RS, 2 RBI, 2 SB (5); 3B Jake Blackwood 3-5, 2B, HR (1), 2 RBI; SS Jeudy Valdez 2-4, 2B, 3 RBI.
Prospect Watch: The Donn was at it again. The twenty-three year old had thirteen groundball outs in five innings. In fact only 2 of the 20 batters that faced him were able to hit the ball out of the infield. Roach was able to throw nearly all sinkers, and yet have the hitters do nothing but drive the ball it into the ground… After starting the year 0-10 with five strikeouts, Noel has now gone 7-14, with four runs scored, two doubles, 3 RBI, a pair of walks and four stolen bases in his last four games… In six games the Missions have only hit two home runs, second to last in the Texas League. However, they have hit twenty doubles, first by a clear amount, and are also first in hits, stolen bases, batting average and on-base percentage.

Lake Elsinore Storm 8 – Lancaster Jethawks 13
Key Statistics RHP Brandon Alger 4.1 IP, 9 H, 6 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K; C Austin Hedges 2-4, 2 2B,2 RS, 2 RBI; RF Yeison Asencio 2-4, 2B, 4 RBI; 2B Cory Spangenberg 2-5, RS, RBI, SB (9).
Prospect Watch: While the winds died down from the 50+ mph gusts that caused yesterdays' game to be post-poned, the Cal League teams still faced a twenty-five mph wind blowing out to right in Lancaster, a notorious hitter's park. It was a slugfest. The deciding factor ended up being infield errors. EVERY member of the infield committed an error allowing for five unearned runs and the difference in the game… Storm manager Shawn Wooten showed good faith in continuing to bat C Austin Hedges third despite a 1-14 start… Six different members of the Storm had multi-hit games including top prospects Hedges (2), Spangenberg (2), Jace Peterson (2), Asencio (2), and Travis Jankowski (3).
