Pitching was the headline for Detroit's farm teams on Tuesday, with Erie being the lone winner. Ramon Cabrera's 4-for-4 performance helped lead the SeaWolves to a win over Binghamton, while Toledo and Lakeland both suffered close losses. West Michigan's game against Fort Wayne was postponed due to rain.

Starting pitcher Shawn Hill went 7 1/3 innings while only giving up two runs for Toledo but the Mud Hens were unable to capitalize on his performance, falling to Indianapolis 3-2 in ten innings. Hill earned a no decision in the loss while reliever Luis Marte earned his second loss of the season, giving up one earned run in one inning of work to break a 2-2 tie in the tenth inning. Jordan Lennerton was the lone Toledo batter to drive in a run, while shortstop Argenis Diaz scored on a throwing error.

In a game where runs came at a premium, Ramon Cabrera went 4-for-4 with an RBI to give Erie a 2-1 win over Binghamton. Starting pitcher Kyle Lobstein earned a no decision in the win, giving up one earned run on five hits in 5 2/3 innings. Reliever Michael Morrison earned his first win of the season, shutting out Binghamton in 2 1/3 innings. Justin Souza earned his second save of the year in the win.

High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
2-3, 4th in North Division

The Flying Tigers struggled to drive in runs against Brevard County, falling in a low-scoring 3-1 final. Jason King drove in the lone run for Lakeland. Starting pitcher Kevin Eichhorn earned his first loss of the season, going 4 2/3 innings while giving up two earned runs on three hits.
